In 2018 Rosie was named a Rising Director by Sheffield DocFest, and in 2019 was selected for the BAFTA Crew X BFI Network programme. She has written and directed award-winning short documentaries that have been screened in cinemas nationwide (UK), at BAFTA, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Aesthetica Film Festival, LIDF and Edinburgh Fringe.
She has over 6 years' experience in online and broadcast documentary programming, working for leading UK broadcast companies such as BBC, Shiver and Multi Story Media, as well as in collaboration with charities such as Water Aid.
With a background in directing, editing and producing, Rosie is a versatile filmmaker with the ability to take a film from its conception to delivery – mindful of every element of production. She is an intuitive camera operator, with a skill for making people feel comfortable in front of the lens. She loves telling character-driven stories that reflect the zeitgeist and explore and celebrate the quirks of human nature.
Particularly interested in showing unheard and underrepresented voices in media, Rosie displays sensitive and honest camerawork, allowing for intimate portrayals of unique people and their stories, which is reflected heavily in her work to date.
